Even though the Chief Minister has directed the power distribution officials to see that there are no power interruptions in the city during the month of Holy Ramadan, the city is still facing extreme electricity crisis. The power cuts are back again after a brief lull of two to three days. The power cuts are being imposed in two spells of one-and-a-half-hour each, during morning and evening hours.
According to APCPDCL sources recent rain has not helped boost up water levels in reservoirs and generation of hydel power.
Besides fixed power cut impositions the residents are also reeling under flickering power cuts making it even harder for the fasting Muslims.
