A local court yesterday sentenced three persons to life imprisonment in a case of murder of an autorickshaw driver in 2011.
Principal District and Session Judge A B Singh convicted Jena Rao, Sanatan Ho and Vijay Sao for the murder of Dharmendra Sao who had gone missing on January 15, 2011 from Sidgora and his body was found a week after from Govindpur.
The judge also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of the three.
After Dharmendra went missing, his family members lodged a missing report with the police on January 22. His body was found a day after that.
During the course of investigation, the police recovered parts of Dharmendra’s autorickshaw from the houses of the three convicts, who were accordingly chargesheeted.
