Selection of three films in the Urdu language produced by the media centre for the national science film festival is a testimony of the right direction and pace of our journey, he remarked.

National Science Film Festival is a prestigious platform for science filmmaking with the objective to popularize Science. Festival is organized every year.

Celebrating the selections, Director IMC, Mr Rizwan Ahmad described it as a big moment for IMC and MANUU as well, out of fifteen nominations, three films belong to us. It is a rare and proud moment. It shows that our hard work is in the right direction which is being appreciated. This is just a beginning, our team has to go a long way, he added. Talking about the films he said that all three films belong to “MANUU KNOWLEDGE SERIES” which IMC had launched last year with the vision of spreading knowledge to the unreached people through the powerful audio-visual medium.

Interestingly these films were produced in the Urdu language which shows that language is not a barrier in communication and it is the content which matters.

IMC is consistently delivering scores of knowledge products, reaching to millions of fellow citizens. There were a lot of Government bodies, production houses, media centres and independent producers who had sent their entries in this film festival where only fifteen were been selected in “Interface Category” and IMC is the only institute which made it presence felt in the selection with thee impressive films.

All these three films will be showcased in the upcoming National Science Festival-2019 being organised in Chandigarh from 27-31 January-2019.

Producers and the crew members have been invited to attend the festival from the organisers of the festival.

These films will be part of Vigyan Prasar repository forever and will be disseminated worldwide through various means.

IMC director Mr. Rizwan Ahmad said that we are confident to win the prizes in a different category and thanked Vice-Chancellor of the Varsity to give him a free hand and all the required support. This is not only a proud moment for IMC but also for the whole MANUU Community, he added.
