Three persons of a family were killed and two others injured when the car in which they were travelling was hit by a lorry at Duvvur Mandal in the district today. Police said the ill-fated car, which was proceeding to Kadapa from Kurnool, was knocked down by a lorry coming in the opposite direction on the National Highway between Chittoor-Kurnool resulting the deaths. The deceased, who were hailing from Kurnool, were identified as Narsimha Rao (30), his father Malakondaiah(50) and mother Tirupatamma (40). The injured were admitted to Proddutur Government Hospital, police added.
