Chandigarh, March 22: Three policemen, including an assistant sub-inspector, were today killed and two others injured in a police bus-oil tanker collision at a village in Punjab”s Nawanshahr district.
The empty oil tanker that was coming from the wrong side collided with the police bus in village Dhanekalera, killing the assistant sub-inspector, a head constable and a woman constable, Nawanshahr Senior Superintendent of Police Narinder Bhargav said.
Two other policemen were also injured in the incident and the condition of one of them was stated to be serious. A case had been registered against the tanker”s driver, he said.
