Muzzafarnagar: Three clerks from the revenue department in UP have been sacked on charges of allowing encroachment of government land a police official said.
According to Additional District Magistrate Amit Kumar, action was taken against three clerks – Jaibhagwan of Khatauli tehsil, Promod Sharma of Sadar tehsil and Mukesh Kumar of Jansath tehsil on Monday in a 2014 land grabbing case at Hastinapur Wildlife Sanctuary here, BS reports.
Two other clerks Ramender Kumar of Khatauli tehsil and Ramesh Chand of Jansath tehsil were also found connected to the case and their pay scale has been lowered.
During the probe, government land encroached was found to be carried out land in 27 villages in the district.
