3 caught selling fake pen drives

New Delhi, March 25: Three men were arrested for selling counterfeit pen drives in the heart of the capital, police said Friday.

Vinod Kumar was arrested from his Palika Bazar shop in in Connaught place when he was exhibiting fake Kingston pen drives – data storage devices – for sale.

In two other separate raids, police also arrested Amit Kumar and Tanuj Sharma from the busy underground shopping hub in the capital city.

Police acted on a complaint from Vimal Kak of Kingston Technology about the sale of counterfeits of their product.

“Gullible shoppers at Palika Bazar were being duped by these traders,” Additional Commissioner of Police K.C. Dwivedi said.

Over 450 fake pen drives and memory cards were recovered during the raids, police said.
