Three persons were arrested on charge of impersonation while attempting to write DSC written test on behalf of one Suresh Kumar Reddy of Visakhapatnam district at the Saint Ann’s High School in Jagannaickpur here today.
East Godavari District Collector Neethu Kumary said all the three were handed over to the One town police.
She told mediapersons that for the written test on first day 4,507 appeared in the morning while 17,761 attended in the evening. For the written test conducted for teachers appointment in 23 centers as against 5,182 candidates applied only 4,507 attended, thus registering 87 per cent attendance.
Similarly in the afternoon exam conducted in 98 centers as against 20,326 candidates registered only 17,761 attended registering 87.38 percent attendance.
The percentage of the total candidates appeared for the exam both in the morning and afternoon put together comes to 87.2 percent, she added. The Collector said a total of 31,459 candidates applied for the 1,398 teachers posts to be filled up by the DSC written test, scheduled for three days. UNI
