Rs. 29.42 crores has been released so far for Shaadi Mubarak Scheme while applications of 5769 families were approved. According to the data released by Minority Welfare Department besides Muslims, Christians, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain and Parsi are also permitted to avail the scheme. The target has been set proportionate to their population.
Muslims, Christians, Sikh and Jain community availed the scheme since its beginning while not a single application was received from Buddhist and Parsi community. A target of 17515 families was set for Muslims but only 7145 applications were received, of which 5720 applications were approved while 42 applications were rejected. 1328 applications are under verification.
