Hyderabad: Telangana government is planning to take up construction of 290 km long Regional Ring Road (RRR) on the city outskirts after the completion of 158 km Outer Ring Road (ORR). This was revealed by Municipal Administration and Urban Development minister KT Rama Rao said on Friday. He was inaugurating the main carriageway of 21.30 km ORR stretch between Shahmirpet and Ghatkesar. He further informed that the RRR project would be approved during the next board meeting of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA).
RRR which will pass by 145 villages will ease the traffic and help decongest the city by diverting traffic away from the core area. Distance between ORR and RRR from any place will be between 10 to 30 kms.
