Peshawar, May 07: Twenty-eight pro-Taliban militants were killed and four security personnel, including an army officer, were injured in clashes in the restive Swat valley and the tribal belt in northwest Pakistan today, security officials said.
Fifteen militants were killed and four security personnel injured in a clash in Dabori Kool Wali Koroona in the Orakzai tribal region.
Eleven more militants were killed in clashes in another area of Orakzai Agency.
Two militants were gunned down during a search operation by security forces in Koza Bandai area of Swat district.
The militants were buried in Gumbad Maira graveyard by officials of the local administration.
