Lucknow, October 14: In a drive conducted against synthetic milk and milk products in western Uttar Pradesh on, 28 people were arrested and fake paneer, cream, mava and other milk products were seized in large quantity.
ADG Brij Lal told newspersons here that nine persons were arrested near Sardar Nagar village of Bareilly and two qunital spurious paneer and 135 kilogram cream were seized from their possession last night while they were moving in a utility vehicle.
In a similar raid in a house in Tikri village in Meerut, nine people were arrested with 10 qunital fake mava and other things required for making it and in Songara village of Etah two people were arrested with one thousand litres of synthetic milk and several ingredients required for making it.
