28 ISIS loyalists killed in Eastern Afghanistan operations

Kabul: At least 28 loyalists of ISIS terrorist group were killed during the latest operations conducted in eastern Afghanistan.

The 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan National Army (ANA) forces in a statement said the militants were killed in Nangahar province in the past 24 hours, reports the Khaama Press.

The statement said the operations were conducted by the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) in Kot and Achin district, adding that the U.S. forces also provided support to the Afghan forces.

No further information was given on how the U.S. forces provided the support to ANDSF.

The statement added that no casualties were incurred to the civilians or the members of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.

So far, the loyalists of the terror group have not commented regarding the report. (ANI)
