Hyderabad, September 10: At least 28 devotees, including children, fell ill after consuming the prasadam at a local Ganesh pandal. The incident happened in Rajampet village of Bhiknoor mandal of Nizamabad district.
According to reports, the devotees started vomiting and complained of stomach pain after consuming prasadam at a Ganesh pandal. They were immediately rushed to Rajampet Hospital where they are undergoing treatment. Doctors suspect that food poisoning could be reason behind the incident.
However, in view of Nizamabad incident, the municipal authorities have asked the organisers of all Ganesh pandals, especially in Hyderabad to take all precautions and ensure that the prasadam is prepared and distributed in hygienic atmosphere.
