27 Water Board officials served showcause notice

Hyderabad, September 20: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) has issued showcause notices to 27 managers (Engg) for lack of supervision of certain meter readers on revenue billing and collection during August 2010.

The memos were issued because of negligence on part of the managers in taking disciplinary action against meter readers who have not visited at least 50 percent of the paid CANs and not billed at least to 90 percent.
