The State government has accorded permission for filling of vacancies of panchayat secretaries (Grade IV) under Direct Recruitment on regular basis.
According to a GO issued on Monday in this regard, the State government has accorded permission to all the district Collectors in the State for filling of 2,677 posts of panchayat secretaries Grade-IV by direct recruitment through District Selection Committee duly following the selection process prescribed in the existing service rules.
The District Level Committee consists of District Collector (Chairman), Chief Executive Officer Zilla Parishad (Member) and District Panchayat Officer (Convener).
The district-wise vacancies are: Srikakulam 209), Vizianagaram (201), Visakhapatnam (155), East Godavari (70), West Godavari (25), Krishna (8), Guntur (26), Prakasam (95), Nellore (86), Chittoor (104), Kadapa (26), Anantapur (202), Kurnool (164), Mahbubnagar (350), Ranga Reddy (57), Medak (182), Nizamabad (66), Adilabad(241), Karimnagar (88), Warangal (106), Khammam (83) and Nalgonda (133).
Panchayat secretaries on regular basis will be selected through a written examination. The Commissioner of Panchayat Raj & Rural Employment will issue recruitment guidelines in this regard. (NSS)
