New Delhi, January 07: Special NIA judge H S Sharma today adjourned till January 21 the hearing for taking cognisance of the charge sheet filed by the National Investigation Agency against LeT operative David Headley and eight others in 26/11 Mumbai attack. The NIA filed the charge sheet against Headley, LeT founder Hafiz Saeed and two ISI officers for plotting and executing terror attacks in India (including 26/11 Mumbai strikes). The NIA had registered a case against Headley and his accomplice Tahawwur Rana. After investigation of the case, the agency added other names involved in terror activities against the country. Headley and Rana are in custody of the US authorities. The NIA alleged that they had visited the country several times before 26/11 and registered a case under unlawful activities (Prevention) act for conspiring against the country. In 26/11 Mumbai attack in 2008, 166 people were killed. Red corner notices were issued against Saeed and others. It is alleged against Saeed that he provided the training to terrorists between 2007-08 in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
