26/11 attacks anniversary: Terror is business for Pakistan, says BJP

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Tuesday said terror is a business activity for Pakistan

“Pakistan continuously to tell lies. They will never accept the evidence given by India. Government of Pakistan, Army and ISI, they all support terrorist activities on their grounds. Pakistan has taken terror as a business and they are supplying it to the world”, he said on the fifth anniversary of the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai..

Referring to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Hafiz Saeed, Naqvi said, “The mastermind of the attack is still alive and he is still hatching plots against India. Pakistan has become the International centre of all these terrorist outfits whether it is Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) or Lashkar-e-Taiba ( LeT),”

Criticizing the UPA Government, he said, “The government is not firm in dealing with such attacks. Instead, it has provided encouragement to these terrorist organisations. India has suffered the most from these terrorist attacks,”

The 2008 Mumbai attacks were twelve coordinated shooting and bombing attacks across Mumbai, by members of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Ajmal Kasab, the only attacker who was captured alive, later confessed upon interrogation that the attacks were conducted with the support of Pakistan’s ISI.

The attacks, which drew widespread global condemnation, began on November 26, and lasted till November 29, 2008, claiming the lives of 166 people and wounding at least 308.

On November 29, National Security Guards (NSG) conducted Operation Black Tornado to flush out the remaining attackers. It resulted in the deaths of the last remaining attackers at the Taj Hotel and the ending all-fighting in the attacks.

Kasab was hanged on November 21, 2012 and buried at Yerwada Jail in Pune. (ANI)
