26000 children have been identified in the state, who have dropped out of education or working as child labours. They will be enrolled under Rajiv Vidya programme during the academic year 2012-13. These children will be admitted in various government schools and madarsas in different phases. They have been explored with the help of NGOs. Majority of the children have come to the state from Tamilnadu, Rajasthan, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and other states in search of work.
Rajiv Vidya Mission had sought help from the NGOs in identifying such children so that they could be enrolled into the schools and madarsas, as more children are getting involved in antisocial activities.
