260 patients examined at free medical camp

Ludhaina, July 06: As many as 260 patients were examined today at a free medical camp organized by DMCH in the OPD block of the hospital. The consultants from the specialties of Medicine, Pediatrics, Skin, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Eye, ENT and Urology examined the patients.

The consultants who participated in the camp were Dr Dinesh Jain (Medicine), Dr Deepak Bhat (Pediatrics), Dr Sunil Gupta (Skin), Dr Sunita Goyal (Obst & Gynae), Dr Pankaj Mahindra (Orthopaedics), Dr GS Bajwa (Opthalomology), Dr Munish Munjal (ENT) and Dr Arvind Goyal (Urology). Secretary of DMCH Managing Society Prem Kumar Gupta was also present on the occasion.

The patients who came to the camp for consultation were provided free registration including free medicines, free urine routine, blood sugar and 20% concession on OPD investigation and indoor treatment in general ward, excluding usage of medical equipment.

Medical Superintendent Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina said that the main aim of organising such camps was to create health-related awareness among the masses and advised them regarding healthy lifestyle practices. With the onset of monsoons, the risk of water-borne disease rises.

“People should take care of their surroundings by maintaining hygiene and paying attention to the quality of water and by having a balanced diet,” said Dr Chhina.
