Hyderabad: Hyderabad Collectorate provided financial assistance to 26 people belonging to minority community who stopped brewing Gudumba or illicit liquor. Under the scheme provided by the government, 26 people of the minority community were given Rs. 2 lakh so that they can start a small business.
Mohammed Ilyas Ahmed Assistant Minority Welfare Officer Hyderabad, Afzaluddin superintendent excise and sub-inspector M Ashok handed over items of Kirana and General store worth 2 lakh to 5 beneficiaries.
It must be noted that the government has introduced rehab scheme for the eradication of Gudumba business.
