26 candidates booked for malpractice in Inter exams

As many as 26 candidates were booked for malpractice in the Intermediate Public Examinations held across the State on Thursday.

According to the Board of Intermediate Education, as many as 734,483 General and 68,574 Vocational candidates appeared for the Mathematics- IB, Zoology-I and History-I papers. However, 50,624 or 6.31% candidates abstained from exams.

The Board of Intermediate Education has sent Observers to Nalgonda, Vaziaya nagaram, Nellore, Ranga Reddy, Medak and Hyderabad Districts. All the Regional Inspection Officers were instructed to see that the Xerox machines in the Colleges, Schools and Degree colleges attached to the examination centers and other Xerox centres in the vicinity of the examination centres should remain closed during the examination hours with the help of the local MRO and Police officials.

The examination has been conducted peacefully without any untoward incident, the board said. (INN)
