Forest authorities in Meghalaya have arrested 25 poachers and recovered body parts of endangered deer from them from a remote village in the state’s West Khasi Hills District. The poachers were arrested in Mawkarah village while they were returning in two vehicles from a hunting trip. Arms, dried venison, three hides of Barking Deer and the head of a fully grown female Sambar were seized from them. (ANI)
