MLC Mr. Shaik Hussain convened a meeting of Minority leaders at his residence in Kadpah. He advised them to be united and face the situation. Majority of the Muslims of Kadpah districts are associate with Congress. Despite this Muslims are meted out with injustice in Kadpah, prodattur and Rayachoti constituencies. In Kadpah district only 4 leaders dominate the political scene. Due to these leaders, Muslims are deprived.
It may be noted that earlier, a minority leader Mr. Muqtaar was nominated as town Congress President but it was cancelled later. The Muslims of Prodattur are angry with it. These leader met Mr. Shaik Hussain and complaint about it. Mr. Hussain said that Dr. Y.S.R. had given adequate representation to Muslims in the districts. These four leaders have dislodge Muslim candidates. They have decided to quit Congress. Mr. Hussain assured them that he would meet the C.M. and A.P.C.C President to apprised them of the situation. Mr. Qasim Khan incharge of Hindu poor Parliamentary Constituency appealed to the Muslims to struggle Unitedly. He told that Muslim population is larger in Rayalaseem. It is possible for the Muslim candidates to win 25 assembly seats. Muslims have to create political awareness and pressurize political parties to get more assembly and parliamentary seats.
Mr. Qasim Khan told that Mr. Muqtaar is a popular leader. Injustice has done to him. All the leaders had organized a large public meeting to felicitate him on his nomination as town Congress President. Under pressure from his opponents his candidature was cancelled which is a gross injustice. It may be noted that Dr. Y.S.R. had given MP ticket from Anantapur’s Hindu Poor constituency to Mr. Qasim Khan. He lost election by few votes. He told that Congress leaders only defeated him.
Mr. Mohiuddin, Town Congress President of Kadpah district told that the party workers who work hard are being neglected. Difference are being created among the Muslims. Mr. Muqtaar told that he is associated with for past 30 years. Where as former MLA Mr. Vardharajulu left Congress and joined YSR Congress Party. Later he came back to Congress. Former Deputy Mayor, Mr. Nabi Rasool, Mr Murtuza, Mr. Imtiyaz, Mr. Shaha Wali, Mr. Dada Peer Ahmed, Mr. Inayathullah. Mr. Iqbal, Mr. Chand Basha, Mr. Qutubuddin and other Muslim leaders attended the meeting.
