240 Jr. Colleges face disaffiliation, refuse exam fees

Hyderabad: The future of thousands of students studying in Junior colleges seems to be gloomy since Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) disaffiliated 240 junior colleges. The board refused to accept examination fees of the students studying in these colleges. Earlier, it had also warned the parents not to get their children admitted in these colleges.

It is understood that the management of all such unrecognized junior colleges are making an attempt to get their students admitted from other junior colleges but they are facing difficulties since BIE had already collected information of the students admitted in all the junior colleges at the beginning of the academic year itself.

It may be noted that the last date of payment of examination fees is 15th October and there seems to be no possibility of revoking the affiliations of these colleges.
