Bangalore: A 24-year old man on his way to buy medicines was brutally attacked by a 30-year-old butcher for not buying meat from him.
The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon and is reported from Banglore’s Neelasandra where 24-year-old Shaik Sadiq was stopped by accused Fairoz – a butcher who runs a chicken and eggs shop in the same locality, BM reports.
Fairoz stopped Sadiq who was a regular customer of Fairoz’s N.R. Chicken and Egg Center and asked him why he had stopped visiting his shop. But the enquiry turned ugly and abusive with Fairoz stabbing Sadiq on his leg.
Complainant Sadiq in his registered complaint with Ashok Nagar police, said, “Fairoz stopped me around 1.45pm and started abusing me for not purchasing chicken from his shop. I objected to his abusive behaviour towards me. Outraged by this, Fairoz forced me into his shop and started beating me. While I was trying to protect myself, Fairoz took the butchering knife out and stabbed my legs. I suffered injuries on my head, lips, legs and nose and started bleeding heavily. I request police officials to take legal action against Fairoz.”
After the brutal assault, Sadiq was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment by locals.
Accused Fairoz was also taken into police custody within 24 hours of the complaint being filed.
An officer from Ashok Nagar police station said, “The accused was taken into custody the next day. The fight started over a small reason. The victim is recovering from his injuries and further action will be taken against the accused.”
The Ashok Nagar Police has registered an FIR under Sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 504 (intentional insult), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 324 (voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons) against the accused Fairoz.
