Hyderabad, January 4: Twenty-four persons were injured in two different road accidents in the State during the past 24 hours. The condition of eight of them is stated to be critical.
Eleven persons were injured in a road accident in Warangal and were rushed to the MGM hospital. The condition of five of the injured is stated to be serious.
According to police, an RTC bus lost control and hit a tree near Chalivagu under Parkal mandal. Initial reports say that the steering rod of the bus was broken and the driver lost control because of it. The injured were identified as residents of Parkal and Mulug areas.
In the second accident, 13 persons were injured when an RTC bus and a lorry had collided near Garikapadu village under Jaggaiahpet mandal of Krishna district. The condition of three of the injured is stated to be critical. The injured were rushed to the local hospital.
