AP Information & Public Relations Minister P Raghunath Reddy today said his government was taking all possible steps to provide adequate power supply to farm, industrial and domestic sectors.
After paying tributes to noted film director Bapu on his passing away, the AP Assembly initiated a debate on Power, Roads & Buildings issues. Participating in the debate, Raghunath Reddy said power production capacity in the State is about 10.361 MW and the government would procure more power from the Centre to cater to the growing demands of all categories of consumers. He maintained that they are keen on supplying 24-hour power supply to the consumers in the coming days. The State government is sparing no efforts in this regard and will tide over the crisis without any delay, he added.
Later, Principal Secretary Ajay Jain said the government will sign a Memorandum of Understanding to get more power from the Centre. (NSS)
