23,221 new teachers to be appointed in KSA

Riyadh, July 22: The Ministry of Education announced Tuesday its plan to appoint 23,221 new teachers two months before the beginning of the new academic year (2010-11).

“The procedure for the appointment of 10,839 female teachers will be completed shortly,” said Saad Al-Fehaid, undersecretary for school affairs.

He said the appointment of 6,277 graduates of teachers’ colleges and 6,105 teachers nominated by the Ministry of Civil Affairs have already been completed.

“We have already distributed these new teachers among the various education departments” in the 13 regions,” the ministry official said.
