Lucknow, October 15: Twenty-three people were arrested and a huge quantity of adulterated milk products was seized in a series of raids conducted at various places in the state in the last 24 hours.
Three persons were arrested following a raid at a dairy in Raya area of Mathura and various ingredients used in making synthetic milk such as castic soda, hydrogen peroxide, bleaching powder, white cement, white paint and white powder were seized, ADG, law and order, Brij Lal told reporters here.
In another raid at Radhey Shyam colony in Govindnagar in Mathura, nine people were arrested from the premises of Vrindavan Food Products factory with 140 tins of adulterated ghee and other products, he said.
Eight people were arrested from Subhash Nagar in Bareilly and three others at Bisrikh in Gautambudh Nagar.
