A 22-year-old woman succumbed to the burn injuries which she suffered while cooking food.
According to Falaknuma police, the incident happened on October 22 when Ayesha Siddiqui suffered severe burn injuries at her residence at Nawab Sahab Kunta. She was immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital where she died today while undergoing treatment.
However, Ayesha’s parents alleged before the police that their daughter might have committed suicide due to the harassment by her husband Abdul Saleem, an auto-driver. She had a love marriage with Saleem in 2010 and the couple had two daughters. She had never met her parents since her marriage. A case has been registered and further investigations are on, police said. (INN)
