Hyderabad, January 04: For proper disposal and shifting of garbage the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will acquire 289 dumper bins to be placed in different parts of the twin cities.
Of the 289, the GHMC received 225 dumper bins on Monday. Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy along with deputy mayor Jaffar Hussain and other senior GHMC officials inspected the dumper bins at NTR stadium and Indira park. The mayor said 225 dumper bins had been purchased at a cost of Rs 61.2 lakh, with each costing around Rs 27,200.
She appealed to citizens to utilise the dumper bins and help the GHMC to make the city clean and green. GHMC officials said the remaining 64 bins would be received shortly. The dumper bins have been allocated zone-wise in East Zone (60), South Zone (68), Central Zone (38), West Zone (98) and North Zone (25).
