JNTU resolved the issue of admissions in 220 engineering colleges by giving permission to fill up 76,635 seats. According to a press note issued by JNTU 245 colleges had submitted petitions for permitting them to admit candidates out of which 220 colleges have been given permission rejecting the plea of 25 colleges. The rejected colleges have the option to approach the court.
