Bhopal: In yet another incident of crime against woman, a 21-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a distant relative. This incident took place in Van Vihar National Park, Bhopal.
According to the report published in India Today, the accused is identified as Vikram Jatav. The girl, student of BA first year had met him earlier on a few occasions.
In her complaint, the girl alleged that the accused had called her in August and later, they went to the park for a walk.
On reaching the park, the accused allegedly raped the girl and then threatened to kill her if she reveals anything about the incident.
After the incident, initially, the accused did not try to get in touch with the victim. However, when the accused realized that she did not inform anything about the incident to anyone, the accused started forcing her to meet him alone. He also began threatening her.
Vexed up with the threats, the girl narrated her ordeal in front of her parent. They approached the police and lodged a complaint. However, the accused fled from his residence before the arrival of police. He is still absconding.
