Amritsar:Over 20 kg heroin with a street value of around Rs 100 crore, which was smuggled in by Pakistani nationals, was today seized by BSF along the Indo-Pak border here.

BSF DIG R S Kataria said that incident took place around 3:30 AM when a BSF night patrol party noticed suspicious movement near a Border Outpost along the Indo-Pak border.
The BSF personnel immediately rushed to the spot and saw some Pakistani smugglers throwing packets towards the Indian side, he said.
The DIG said when a search operation was launched in the morning, 21 heroin packets (of 1 kg each) and one loaded shot gun of Italian make were seized.
