21 inter students booked for malpractice

As many as 21 students have been booked for malpractice during the Intermediate Public Examinations held across the State on Friday.

The Board of Intermediate Education had sent Observers to Nizamabad, Guntur, Nalgonda, Medak, Ranga Reddy, Mahaboobnagar, and Hyderabad Districts. The Secretary, BIE, Hyderabad also visited the centres in Macherla, Durgi of Guntur district and Mallepali in Nalgonda district. One impersonation case in Vivekavardhini Vocational Junior College, Jambagh, Hyderabad was reported and the culprit was handed over to police.

As many as 975,332 General and 77,900 Vocational candidates appeared for the English-I paper on Friday. However, a total of 74,948 or 7.12% candidates abstained from the exams.

The examination has been conducted peacefully without any untoward incident, the BIE said. (INN)
