Hyderabad: Dr Akun Sabharwal, Director, Drugs Control Administration (DCA) today informed that 21 drugs have been found to be “Not of standard quality” and asked public not to buy such drugs.
He said in the month of July, around 650 samples of various medicines/drugs were collected by Drug Inspectors from across Telangana. These collections were based on random sampling, (only in certain instances based on specific complaints).
These samples were analyzed at the DCA Laboratory, Hyderabad. 21 samples have been found to be “Not of Standard Quality”.
Steps have been initiated for withdrawal of these from the market, Sabharwal said and requested the public to avoid buying these particular products from the market.
