Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Saturday said the year 2014 will be known as ‘Vijay Varsh’ for his party in the nation’s history.
Shah, who is making an all out effort to ensure the party’s continuous winning streak under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said the BJP is a party known to fulfill its promises.
Highlighting the achievements of the NDA Government, Shah said the BJP has managed to keep inflation under control, including reducing the prices of diesel and petrol.
“Prime Minister Modi has promised to end unemployment through ‘Make in India’,” he added.
Shah said the BJP has started working on the promises that were made during the Lok Sabha polls.
“We had promised to focus on skill development during the elections. We kept the promise by creating a ministry for skill development,” said Shah.
“We said we will bring back black money. We cleared a proposal of setting up SIT for the same at the first Cabinet meeting after coming to power,” he added.
Shah said Prime Minister Modi has raised the issue of black money at all appropriate forums.
Shah further said the BJP will never divert from the development agenda.
Referring to the former Congress-led UPA regime, Shah said India has given a befitting reply to Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
Shah also used the occasion to target the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
“When the AAP formed the government, they came to this same place on a Metro Rail. I want to ask them, do they still travel by Metro?” he said.
The BJP, which has been out of power in Delhi for the past 16 years, is confident of winning the polls with a clear majority this time with the help of Prime Minister Modi’s charisma. (ANI)
