Hyderabad: Due to unfavourable weather conditions in Mumbai, at least 16 flights to Mumbai were diverted to the Shamsabad airport on Tuesday, leaving over 2,000 passengers stranded at RGIA.
The passengers were left in the lurch without food and accommodation with many airlines failing to accommodate them on earlier flights. Flights of Jet Airways, Air India, Swissair, Malaysian Airlines and Air Canada were diverted to Hyderabad airport.
No alternative arrangements were made by airline authorities, claimed harried passengers at RGIA.
On the other hand TOI has quoted an airline authorities saying that teams are working round-the-clock to ensure that inconvenience to guests is minimised and operations are normalised at the earliest.
