20-yr-old NRI goes missing in Malad

Mumbai, April 30: A 20-year-old non-resident Indian (NRI), who came to the city for her cousin’s wedding, went missing from Malwani in Malad on Monday. Guninder Chehal had been living in Mumbai with her maternal uncle since December 2009.

The Malwani police said she had been studying and working part time in Washington in the US. “Chehal, who is unmarried, had come to Mumbai with her parents, to attend her cousin’s wedding on March 14,” said senior inspector VR Andhale. The police said, after the wedding, while her parents returned to Washington, she decided to stay back with her uncle Jasbir Singh Bhullar, in Vandana Apar-tments, Malwani in Malad (W).
