Mumbai, April 27: The 20-year-old deaf and mute man, who went missing from the house of international film editor, Anuradha Singh, is lying unconscious at Bhagwati hospital, Borivli, four days after he was traced. Krishan Kumar, who went missing from Singh’s house in Goregaon (West) on Thursday, was traced by the Government Railway Police (GRP) the same day.
Kumar, whose parents work for Singh’s family in Gaya, came to Mumbai eight months ago, to live with Singh. The police said Kumar was found in the luggage compartment of a train.
He had suffered severe injuries and was unconscious. The motorman informed the GRP who admitted him to Bhagwati Hospital.
“Kumar has cuts on his head and is losing consciousness often. We are conducting a CT scan and only after the report will we be able to tell what were the cuts inflicted with,” said a doctor at Bhagwati hospital.
Singh’s brother, Vivek, was at the hospital. “I just want Kumar to be fine.
The Goregaon police had visited the hospital but they have not been able take down his statement.” Inspector Vivek Shende said they are waiting for the medical reports and for Kumar to give his statement based on which they will file a case.
“We have recorded Anuradha’s and Vivek’s statements, but are waiting for Kumar to regain consciousness,” Shende said. Kumar usually left the house only to accompany Singh’s 80-year-old grandmother to the temple.
