Kabul, October 11: At least 20 Taliban militants have been killed in southeastern Afghanistan’s Paktia province in clashes with US-led NATO troops and during NATO airstrikes.
According to a local police commander, 15 Taliban militants were killed during a NATO airstrike in Paktia province’s Barmal district on Sunday night, a Press TV correspondent reported.
He added that the Taliban members had entered Afghanistan from Pakistan before being targeted by US-led forces in Paktia province.
However, at least five other Taliban militants lost their lives during clashes with US-led NATO forces in Paktia province.
Taliban has not yet confirmed the casualties.
