20 sub enquiry offices to come up at Tirumala

Tirumala, March 17: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) executive officer IYR Krishna Rao along with joint executive officer K Bhaskar inspected the site of the proposed model sub-enquiry office near SMC, here today.

Later addressing mediapersons, he said it has been decided to construct a modern sub-enquiry offices in about 20 points in Tirumala with the view to avoid inconvenience to pilgrims seeking information during peak hours and also provide them a stop-gap arrangement in case of nonavailability of accommodation.

One such sub-enquiry offices is coming up at the SMC area at an estimated cost of Rs 1.25 crore, he said.

”It will have bathrooms, changing rooms and locker facility.

Pilgrims can make use of these facilities whenever there is heavy rush. The modern model sub-enquiry office will be ready within five months. Similar offices will come up in another 19 points for the benefit of common pilgrims so that the demand for rooms could be reduced in Tirumala,” he added.

The EO also inspected renovated rooms at the SMC. Stating that all rooms would get a face lift, he said the renovation works were expected to be completed in nine months.

Meanwhile, the JEO inspected the renovated rooms at Varahaswamy and Narayanagiri guest houses, Surapuram Thota, Sapthagiri, IINC, HVC, Seshadri Nagar and Shankumitta.
