Lakhimpur, February 12: More than 20 people were today injured in a clash after a mob stormed a police station in this district.
People in large number ghearoed Laluk police station this morning to protest against the release of three persons who were arrested for their alleged involvement in a murder case, officials said.
Police batoncharged, lobbed teargas shells and fired in the air to disperse the crowd. 20 people injured in the clash.
Senior police officials rushed to the spot and the situation was stated to be tense but under control, they said.
