20 killed in Belgium train crash

Belgium, February 15: A train crash in a suburban station in the Belgian capital of Brussels has left more than 20 people dead and several others injured.

The incident took place on Monday when two rush-hour trains collided head-on in snowy conditions at the station of Buizingen, a town southwest of Brussels.

There was no immediate comment on the cause of the crash which according to railway authorities caused great damage to overhead power lines in the station.

It also halted rail traffic from the capital to southwestern Belgium, AP quoted authorities as saying.
