Hyderabad, November 11: The West Zone police on Wednesday arrested two members of a gang, including its kingpin, who were pelting stones and eggs at people at night on the city roads.
The arrests came a few days after the cops apprehended nine youngsters for the same offence.
The two youngmen nabbed this evening are the sons of prominent doctors in the City and are intermediate students of a corporate college. They are aged about 17. They are residents of the Banjara Hills.
According to the police, the duo used to throw eggs and stones at not only people but also at commercial establishments.
Of the two, one is the leader of the so-called Nischal gang.
West Zone DCP Stephen Ravindra said, “We had specific information about the gang members and we arrested them today.’’ One more gang which used to write graffiti on the walls of commercial complexes is still at large.
