Hyderabad, August 16: Bodies of two labourers from Andhra Pradesh, who were shot dead by a police officer in Kuwait because he found them eating 10 minutes before the Iftar on August 1, arrived at the Chennai airport in the early hours of Monday.
The body of another labourer from AP would be arriving on August 16.
Bodies of Nallagutta Ramaniah and Masannagari Obul Reddy were brought in a Qatar Airways flight and shifted to their native villages. Ramanaiah hailed from Aggivaaripalle village in Kambhamvaaripalle mandal of Chittoor district. The wife of the deceased Nageshwaramma and her sister accompanied the body.
The body of Obul Reddy, who belonged to Dudhyala village in Sambepalle mandal of Kadapa district, arrived later and was shifted to Sarvepally village in Venkatachalam mandal in Nellore from where his wife hails.
The body of Tokala Naresh Kumar of Naguvarivandlapalle in Gaaliveedu mandal in Kadapa would arrive at Chennai airport on Tuesday morning. The Migrants Rights Council demanded that the government reimburse the transport charges for the victims’ families.
