Medininagar: Security forces today recovered two powerful landmines from the place where an explosion during a road construction took place earlier near Malkadih in Naxal-hit Palamau district, a senior police official said.
Following the explosion near an earth digging machine during the road construction work last evening, the District Armed police force and CRPF personnel undertook search operation and recovered two landmines weighing 25 kgs each, DIG (Palamau) Vipul Shukla said.
The landmines were planted underneath the earth at Malkadih near Manatu-Chak construction site, he said adding the search operation will continue and led SP Mayur Patel.
Earlier the security forces had recovered landmines planted in Latehar, Chatra and Palamau districts.
