2 Nalgonda district leaders quit TRS

Hyderabad, July 13: Two leaders hailing from Nalgonda district, J Balakrishna Reddy and B Somi Reddy (TRS Nalgonda district president), resigned from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) today.

Reiterating that TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao cannot lead the party, they said that they had lost confidence in the TRS leadership. Both the leaders were confident that some more TRS leaders would join them.

To quell the dissidence activity in the party, initially, the TRS leadership had expelled five leaders from the party. When the expelled leaders approached the court, the TRS leaders withdrew the expulsions and invited them back into the party fold. Thus, former minister A Chandrasekhar, former MP Ravindra Naik and R Umadevi along with other leaders rejoined the party.

However, l e a d e r s l i ke Balakrishna Reddy did not relent and continued their tirade against the TRS chief. He maintained that till date Chandrasekhar Rao had not answered the 15 questions posed to him on the party’s debacle in the polls.

Balakrishna Reddy maintained that though they quit the TRS, they were in no mood to join the Congress. He said they would take a right decision with their commitment to the Telangana issue.
