Danger looms over two mosque under Manikonda property; one mosque located at the foot of Rae Durg lake and another at the foot of Durgam Cheruvu lake in the premises of Dargah Hazrat Husain Shah Vali. Both the mosques are near to each other. Both the mosques are situated on a great height. Masjid Rae durg located near Dargah Hazrat Husain Shah Vali is surrounded by towering buildings under construction. The mosque is deserted and is in very precarious condition. No one is there to look after both the mosques.
Few days ago the high court declared the 1664 acre land as Waqf property. Several companies are constructing sky scrapers on the vast Waqf land. Not only this, a temple has also been constructed on the Waqf land near the mosque, which is open for puja.
Keeping in view the delicacy of the situation Waqf board should immediately come into action and ensure protection of the two mosques and the Dargah.
If the concerned departments and Waqf board do not intervene into the matter the lake land and these mosques will be gobbled up by the land grabbers.
